ZAZZY CATS KITTY RESCUE is a Non-Profit Public Benefit Charity Organization based in Long Beach, California. Our rescue was founded for the primary purpose of rescuing high risk cats, kittens, expectant and nursing queens directly from the community as well as city and county shelters in the greater Los Angeles area. ZAZZY CATS provides cats and kittens with medical care, places them in loving foster homes until permanent adoption homes are found. We are an all volunteer organization and rely solely on the support of public donations to provide care. If you would like to support our efforts, please click the Donate Button below or use the QR then pick the type of donation you'd like to make via the drop down menu (Single Donation, In Memory Of, etc). Thank you! Looking to adopt a cat?
Please visit our Adoptable Pets page. Prior to every adoption, all our cats and kittens will be:

We are in the process of shifting our focus from the California adoption and rescue side of our operations to the management of our Colorado sanctuary for un-adoptable cats, PURR MANOR. Purr Manor cares for cats that were brought into the rescue that cannot be adopted out due to medical conditions or temperament issues. They stay in PURR MANOR'S care for the rest of their lives. Due to this new change in direction, Zazzy Cats is now closed for intakes. Please see the Board of Directors page for more details.
Please see our resources page for information on groups that provide free/low cost vets services, financial assistance as well as tips on how to help your pet work through behavior issues. To find other rescue groups in your area do an internet search under "Cat Rescues" along with your city. Please note that many rescues operate at full capacity but you never know when one might have space. It is also recommended to offer to foster the cat in need til adopted. If you have the ability to cover basic vetting such as spay/neuter surgeries and vaccines, that will lessen the burden on already overloaded rescues. . |
Hyla Marrow Trust
Hyla was born in 1950 and became an accomplished gymnast and dancer, leading to a long career as a stuntwoman and actress in over 80 films. She was also a successful day-trader and a passionate cat-lover who created a Trust that since her death in 2016 has benefited over 60 organizations that help homeless cats find medical care and forever homes. Zazzy Cats Kitty Rescue is grateful to be one of those groups and thanks the Hyla Marrow Trust for its generous support of our rescue and adoption efforts.
